Some Trustees from the Attlee family spent time over the festive period re-discovering historic family photographs featuring Clement Attlee, and other members of the family. These images remain the personal property of the Attlee family and are protected by UK copyright law. Following in Attlee’s footsteps at Haileybury
On 7 November 2025, two of our Trustees, Jo Roundell Greene and Laetitia Lucy, visited Haileybury, Clement Attlee’s former school. The visit was organised by the Haileybury Society and Sam Koon, Director of Teaching and Learning. Latest Bursaries Awarded
On 3 July 2025 , the Poplar campus of New City College was alive with celebration as students, families and staff gathered to recognise outstanding achievement at the Attlee A Level Academy . 2025 Student Bursaries
We are pleased to announce that The Attlee Foundation has recently been awarded a grant of £25,000 from the Aldgate & Allhallows Foundation to fund a new programme of bursaries to support bright disadvantaged young people to stay on in education. These Attlee Foundation/Aldgate & Allhallows bursaries will start in 2025 and will be delivered in partnership with the Attlee A Level Academy in Tower Hamlets.

2022 Student Bursaries
The Trustees have been working with the Attlee A Level Academy at New City College. Our first joint venture was a competition to find the Clement Attlee Students of the Year, with a top-of-the-range laptop as first prize. We asked students to produce a piece of work in a medium of their choosing that showed originality, independent thought, discussion and analysis of Clement Attlee, his achievements, government, character and values. AYCC in Tower Hamlets
Created by The Attlee Foundation, the ‘Attlee Youth and Community Centre’ (AYCC) in Tower Hamlets, London, is a multi-purpose complex with sports, adventure play and learning facilities designed to meet the needs of children, young people and the wider local community as a whole.
